Paul Heller – Roman Schwaller Quintett “Tribute to Johnny Griffin”

Modern jazz & swing: in 1985, Roman Schwaller already played alongside Johnny Griffin in the “Three Generations Of Tenor Saxophone”. In 1999 and 2000 they put the “Three Generations Of Tenor Saxophone” back together for two tours, this time with Paul Heller as the third man on board. The WDR Big Band saxophonist, Paul Heller, and the head of the jazz seminar of the conservatory in Vienna, Roman Schwaller, will pay a swinging tribute to their music idol and mentor with their selection of Johnny Griffin’s extraordinary compositions.
